englanti How do I approach this? A strange movie full of loud nature sounds (how I hate insects...), Welsh language, and a good atmosphere. It's obvious from the start that shit is going to hit the fan at some point in the story, but waiting for something to happen is painfully long. To say that the film had a slow pace is about as much of a euphemism as saying that Ed Kemper didn't exactly love his mother. Seriously, there were moments when I thought the DVD froze. It dragged but the occasional twists and turns and the very end were a reward for my endless patience. 3*+ ()

englanti POSSIBLE SPOILERS! Going into the film blind, after watching it I would say it's an unbelievable piece of crap in which everyone behaves absurdly to the point of being comical, the dialogue is incredibly stupid and the whole film is more or less a bunch of random scenes. Going into the film knowing that it's going to be a sort of allegory on the relationship between humanity and the Earth and the never-ending mining, destruction of the planet and man's almost parasitic relationship with the world, I'm a little better at watching the film and all the aforementioned drivel makes a bit of sense. Unfortunately for the film, it's still unconvincing, underwhelming and allegorically very weak (when compared to Darren Aronofsky's Mother ! and Denis Villeneuve's Enemy). From a cinematic point of view, there's nothing to stand for anyway, the actors are mediocre, there's no plot to speak of and the film only grinds into horror in the last fifteen minutes, otherwise it's more or less a silly conversation piece that was supposed to build on a striking idea hidden "under the surface", but it's lost, or rather there's not much in the film at all...
