The sequel to the hit film Torrente finds the crude, heavy-set Spanish cop on his way out of the police force. At first, the money and women seem endless, but as the cash runs out so do the women, and a desperate Torrente sets up a detective school to make ends meet. I don’t care what the ratings say—Torrente is the king, and anything less than five stars is just wrong. This sequel is pretty much the same as the first, and that’s exactly what makes it great. José Luis Torrente is still surrounded by idiots he takes advantage of, still bored in the car offering his partner a cross handjob, still drinking like a fish, and still harassing prostitutes. It's just classic Torrente. I can’t imagine anyone not laughing at this—if you don't find it funny, you’ve got to be a real buzzkill.
