Animaatioseikkailussa tohtori Stephen Strange kamppailee omien menetystensä kanssa. Sattumien kautta Strange päätyy Tiibetiin suuren Muinaisen oppiin ja joutuu mukaan taisteluun pahaa Dormammua vastaan. Samalla hän löytää myös oman tiensä elämässä. (Ruutu+)

However pleasant and good it is in the first third, the rest of it turned into the worst possible slap-dash pastiche void of logic, rules and anything that you might expect from a movie; this isn’t even B-movie material, it’s... It’s a letter that doesn’t even appear in the alphabet. At the beginning it looked like a Marvel variation on John Constantine, but in the end it is simply the world of the Green Lantern and defenders around him, dressed up in fantasy garb.

If you don't know this character well but would like to get to know her, this hour-and-a-quarter-long film is the right choice. We follow a brilliant surgeon who may be overconfident, but an accident comes along and ends his career. But it's not over, because Dr. Strange has a much more important task ahead of him. He doesn't have to save individual lives because he can save entire worlds as a man who wields magic. It's nothing groundbreaking. The animation is decent, it’s slightly above average in comic book style, and overall, the film is slightly above-average.
