englanti A film that wants to be scary with things like pulling out a navel piercing, a kitten in a washing machine and tattoos!!! The horror... An utterly pointless take on the premise of a psychopath at work / in the neighbourhood / in a hotel… I certainly can’t recommend The Roommate, but at the same time, it’s not that terrible, it’s too well made for that. englanti So, a Scandinavian director comes to Hollywood to show what he’s got. He asks for a budget—not a huge one—but the producers are cool with it because he's got a decent idea. The movie’s a psychological story set in a college, mixing drama, romance, and a bit of horror, so it's aiming to hit all the right notes for everyone. Then he casts two leads—let’s just say he went for the budget-friendly but still sexy options, and yeah, they look good on screen. Cue the typical scenes of girls in underwear, with a college vibe that slowly spirals into full-on psycho-horror territory. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but for what it is, it's not bad. The leads were easy on the eyes, and the suspense wasn’t awful either. The only downside? It felt way too artificial and predictable. If it had been more authentic, I might’ve rated it higher. But honestly, I can’t complain too much—I managed to take a shower, shave, make food, and prep for heading out while watching it. So yeah, not the worst way to kill time, and the second half actually picked up enough tension that you could cut it with a razor. ()

englanti I have to admit, I was rooting for Rebecca the whole time! Leighton handled the character of the crazy psycho with aplomb. The story may be simple and the ending rather far-fetched, but I was still riveted. The cast was great in my opinion! Excellent as a drama and a light thriller. ()
