Basically, just a teaser for the next season. Things move as expected, without anything important taking place. Except perhaps for the last shots, which lack originality and inventiveness, but why not, If done well they could be interesting in season 3.

A solid ending to the second season. The creators finally managed to inject some excitement into Daenerys's storyline, and interesting things started happening beyond the Wall and in King's Landing. As usual, Lord Varys was highly entertaining, while Shae continued to get on my nerves. Though I preferred the previous episode, this one still wrapped things up nicely.
