The first episode of season 3 is too lukewarm, it opens up almost no new stories and there are hardly new characters. We have a solid base for the next episodes, hopefully they will be more dramatic than this one, some slight hints are there.

The episode surprised me by making the most interesting developments occur beyond the Wall and with Daenerys, which were the slowest parts of the previous season. The story feels a bit like it's treading water, and I was slightly disappointed with Tyrion's storyline, as I expected more from it.
