Vankilatuomion voi istua, mutta menneisyyttä ei voi paeta! Istuttuaan 20 vuotta telkien takana pikkurikollinen nimeltä Foley (Samuel L. Jackson) saa viimein tilaisuuden aloittaa puhtaalta pöydältä. Hän tapaa Iris-nimisen tytön, valitsee uuden elämäntyylin ja unohtaa pahat tapansa. I was honestly surprised by how decent this film was, considering its low ratings. The story really pulled me in—that’s probably its strongest point. Right behind that is Samuel L. Jackson. I was a bit shocked to see him in a movie like this, especially when everyone else around him is acting like they’re in some low-budget B-movie. But Samuel nails it—I believed every bit of his anger, sadness, and depression. The rest of the cast, though? Not so much. They couldn’t convincingly deliver a single scene. Still, for the story, the ending, and Samuel’s solid performance, I’m giving it three stars.
