Ota, a former teacher, is a bit whimsical at his age, which complicates the lives of his son and daughter-in-law. He is about to undergo a big surgery, which makes Ota decide that this is the right time to seek that someone who had influenced his life many years ago. Meeting the actress Jana turns out to be different than he'd imagined. Nevertheless, it is this vital lady, rejecting to give up her active life, who twists Ota's life again. Thanks to Jana, he sets out on an adventurous road-movie, one he'd probably not dared to go at a younger age.
