(MTV3)

englanti This rather unambiguously named film brings what is actually a rather objective view on Italian problems, which however are not only Italian but we’d find them in the entire Europe. On several occasions, I spotted problems we also have in the Czech Republic. This made me think, and in the end I couldn’t get rid of the impression that we humans are at fault for all these global problems. The system set it up for us, unfortunately. Everything follows the rules we have made, and humanity and the emotions related to it are becoming obsolete. I don’t want to think about where all this is going to end… ()

englanti Italian films are becoming increasingly enjoyable for me, so I had to watch ACAB right away. I expected a bit more, but technically, it’s a perfect piece of craftsmanship. Expecting something beyond that might have been too much. Ordinary people probably don’t have a clear sense of what it’s like after intense matches where rival fan groups clash. The film shows us those involved, whose job is to stand between them and calm the crowds. If Italian riot police really have such pitiful equipment, I do feel sorry for them. Batons are fine until opponents pull out knives or, heaven forbid, firearms. There’s not much you can do then. The acting is very good, and the fates of the four main characters are quite gripping. Though there are also intense situations with plenty of violence, I just can’t rate it higher. The film is well-made but didn’t have a chance to truly shine, in my opinion. I give it 65%. ()
