Tiivistunnelmainen trilleri Montrealissa asuvasta muotisuunnittelijasta Sophiesta, joka saa netissä toimivan loma-asuntojen vaihtopalvelun kautta käyttöönsä unelmakodin Pariisista aivan Eiffel-tornin naapurista. Rakkauden kaupungissa nuorta naista odottaa kuitenkin painajaismainen yllätys, johon liittyy myös rikospoliisi Damien Forgeat. Konstaapeli Forgeatin roolissa loistaa entinen jalkapallolegenda Eric Cantona. (Nelonen Media)

englanti The last third of Switch is overly contrived. The wrongfully accused on the lam and the main cop are not as stellar and charismatic as we’re used to from similar French genre films. Because of this, and for some less-than-believable situations, the film cannot equal the best American thrillers. But as a way to kill some time, it’ll keep you entertained. It maintains the mystery surrounding the main villain long enough and at least one scene will stick in your memory (the chase in the mansion neighborhood). ()

englanti Not too long ago, I caught a segment on TV about how Eric Cantona was diving into the world of acting, trying to make a name for himself on the big screen. As soon as I heard about his latest film Switch, I was eager to see it, but never really had the chance—until HBO added it to their lineup. I was super excited going in, but in the end, I didn’t feel either disappointed or thrilled. Switch is just…average. It's not an action movie, as you might expect, but more of a typical French crime thriller. There are some solid scenes, but also a few dull moments. The characters are decent, and I actually liked Cantona in the film, but that’s about it. The ending, though, felt way too rushed. They wrapped things up so quickly, it was like watching a bouncy ball hit the ground—fast and chaotic. ()
