The Canyons

A film featuring a fairly well-known porn actor in a leading role, especially from a director with a track record of interesting films (like the remake Cat People) and who has also contributed to even more intriguing scripts (Raging Bull or Taxi Driver). It sounds a bit risky, but it turns out that hiring a porn actor isn't necessarily a problem at all. The problem lies with others who call themselves actors, and ultimately with the screenplay itself, which tries to be a big, suspenseful thriller but where the tension is created solely through music and the presence of some violence. Everything seems to be happening outside of the scene itself. Lindsay shows her breasts, but by now, I guess everyone is used to that. (14.01.2014)
