Christian Slaterin sekä Brendan Fehrin tähdittämä Stranded on salaperäinen ja pelottava avaruustrilleri, jota on verrattu muun muassa ensimmäiseen Alieniin. Eikä syyttä, sillä tieteiselokuvan on ohjannut science fictionin parissa niin ohjaajana kuin Oscar-palkittuna lavastajana tunnettu Roger Christian. Neljää astronauttia kuljettava avaruusalus joutuu rajuun meteorimyrskyyn. Koettelemuksesta selvittyään matkustajat kuitenkin huomaavat, etteivät ole enää aluksessaan yksin... (Atlantic Film Fin.)

This is how Prometheus would be like if it was as stupid as the loudest critics say and, if instead of Ridley Scott, it was directed by the creator of Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000. One star… I don’t even know what for, maybe for the very well made ugly make-up.

Stranded is a run-of-the-mill B-movie that wants to take itself too seriously and pretends to be something more than a rip-off of Alien. It isn't, although the creators at least made some attempt to make the monster look original, but they still stuck to keeping certain stages. Simply put, innovation is not in vogue these days; it's too complicated, and people prefer to stick to familiar paths. There seem to be enough people willing to pay for it.
