The curse of this year's horror and thrillers continues, and even this one doesn't rise above a very nice average. The film has decent visuals, it's nicely styled and modern (guys in suits, Abigail in a red dress and red lipstick), the make-up artists have undoubtedly done a very good job, but the fact that they called in the help of the make-up artists to shuffle some brutal scenes into the film is a damn shame, because everyone can expect this in a forest slasher. On the plus side, the fast paced and fun Truth or Dare is pretty much all Final Girl has to offer. So all in all, a fun one-off, but nothing to talk about in a month. 65%

It's not a great movie, and it's essentially just another attempt to turn a young girl into a living weapon, but I simply like this concept. Plus, this is interestingly stylized, which I think also benefited the film. Abigail seems great to me here, which hasn't happened with her before. For me, I'm definitely satisfied, even though the film is not a blockbuster.
