englanti For me one of the biggest surprises of this year. Great cast, great action and great atmosphere and when I found out after a few minutes that the film was a rip-off of my favourite Assault on Precinct 13 (maybe it's a remake, but I wouldn't bet on it), I was in heaven. A nonstop action flick with a great atmosphere that's well worth it. The French know how. ()

englanti A warehouse guard, a gang of petty thieves, a special unit escorting a misogynistic criminal, and an anonymous army of armed zombies calling him sir. The District Carpenter, who embodies the limited space of the adage that the enemy of my enemy may become my friend. It’s sympathetically dark, and the “un-French” music sometimes has a horror-like quality, but the action could definitely have been presented more clearly and with more creativity. The opening with the wasp nest in the basement promised high expectations, but Nine Brave Men ultimately fulfilled them only halfway. ()

englanti The Nest is a decently filmed action thriller that feels like a French variation of John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13, however, made with little innovation. In short, it's just a sort of suspenseful canapé. Nevertheless, the scene where a gang of thieves is driving along and starts whistling the Elmer Bernstein's theme to The Magnificent Seven has a totally iconic flair. ()
