I must say that I even remember this story of the Chilean miners. In today's film industry, it was only a matter of time before some clever producer would pick up on it and turn it into a solid heartwarming story with a happy ending. And yes, it really succeeded. The credit goes to the talented Tonda Banderas and the whole thing emphasizes the truth, which I definitely appreciate.

I expected it to be a bit more sentimental, which it ultimately wasn't, but on the other hand, the emotions I anticipated weren't there either. What I liked was the acting of some pretty big names who let themselves be rather overshadowed by the rescue mission itself. They didn't want to stand out, and I liked that a lot about their performances.
