Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort

Quite a surprise. The fifth part was more or less unwatchable, but sixth is a decent slasher with a fairly high body-count. There is plenty of nudity and boobs, women lovers will come into their own, the murders are quite original and decently gory (the anal probe and the opening scene with the barbed wire lead the way). It's not downright crap, but I probably won't remember it in a week :) 55% (13.10.2014)

Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort isn't a film that significantly deviates from the series. The most interesting fact is probably that it's pointless to talk about the series and any continuity because there isn't any here at all. What happened in part five doesn't matter because something else is happening here. New characters, with only the three degenerate murderers serving as the cohesive element. I was quite surprised by the creativity in the killings and how the whole thing is essentially conservative. On the other hand, it could be seen as a positive in terms of the series, and it might actually intrigue someone specifically for that reason. (30.10.2014)
