Komediarooleistaan paremmin tunnettu Jennifer Aniston vakuuttaa väkevän draamaelokuvan pääroolissa Clairena, kroonisista kivuista kärsivänä naisena. Takautumat ja välähdyksinä ilmenevät muistot paljastavat onnettomuuden, joka on vienyt Clairelta niin perheen kuin mielenrauhan. Vähäeleinen elokuva paljastaa salaisuuksiaan kitsaasti, mutta Aniston vangitsee elokuvan jokaisessa kohtauksessa. Anistonin roolityö on huomioitu näyttelijöiden killan SAG awards –ehdokkuudella sekä Kultainen maapallo eli Golden Globe -palkintoehdokkuudella. If only the film wasn't narrated so mysteriously the whole time as if some big revelation awaited at the end, I would give it an even higher rating. But its uprooting leaves me no other option. The acting is good, but it would be better if it didn't play at something to the audience that isn't actually there.

I found myself deeply connecting with the main character's emotions, even though our diagnoses may differ; we cripples just understand each other :-) Jennifer Aniston delivered a wonderful performance. Unlike many viewers, I was thoroughly entertained throughout the entire film, as much as I would be watching an action-packed movie. The creators managed to (quite surprisingly for me) avoid melodrama and accurately captured the essence of us cripples – we may lack many things, but our biting sarcasm and, for the luckier ones among us, cynicism, are always intact. / Lesson learned: Don't rely too much on pills; sometimes, a chat with a possum is all you need.
