(Nordisk Film Fin.)

A fairly surprising action comedy that didn't look very attractive at first glance, but the positive reception of the audience was very encouraging, and in the end I am satisfied. Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani have a decent chemistry, the action somehow works and the humour mostly worked, but most of all, the film has a fun and fast pace that makes it no place for boredom. Too bad Iko Uwais didn't get much space, but I'm still satisfied and I wouldn't mind a sequel. 70% ()
It’s good that there are still screenwriters in American who are not afraid to write one action buddy comedy after another. Stuber is no wild ride, but it works alright as a comedy. Dave Bautista is a cool actor I wouldn’t mind seeing more often, Kumail Nanijani has stand-up comedy roots, and is able to surprise the audience. Together, they work as a good team, with cool catchphrases. What more would you want? It’s true that the golden days of Top Gun are long past, but it’s totally okay as a chill-out movie. ()
Stuber reminded me of two films: directly The Hitman’s Bodyguard, and indirectly Game Night, both of which I found slightly better. Stuber still has a brisk pace and more than one humorous scene, like Vic's blindness or Stu's remarks, but it doesn't have anything to surprise, which admittedly you don’t expect in a film like this, but it still could have been a plus point. All in all, it’s an action-packed, funny, one-view film that will neither offend nor amaze you! P.S. I was incredibly annoyed by Tedjo, whom I found too overpowered given his largely cadaverous physique. ()
This comedy certainly wasn’t overwhelming for my brain, the plot was quite simple and predictable. But I must admit that the humor in the film worked, especially desperate Stu's hilarious one-liners. I had a surprisingly good time. ()
