Bad Seeds

An enjoyable French comedy that will amuse, move and surprise. The main character is in charge of a group of incorrigible pupils and will spend his days with them in a rather funny way. There will be no big laughs, but the film will put a smile on your face without any problems. Kheiron as director and lead actor decent. 75%. (14.05.2019)

Kheiron is a huge French discovery for me. An interesting guy who is also a multi-artist, not afraid to rap and at the same time shoot such incredibly interesting and entertaining films, like his recent work, Plevel. Plus it must be noted that in this comedy he brought along French legends - Catherine Deneuve and André Dussolier, which in itself means a lot. But don't expect a comedy where you'll be laughing from start to finish, as the French can do. It rather feels to me like a unique dramedy with a clever plot and an atmosphere similar to when I would watch, for example, the legendary Untouchable. Meanwhile, Kheiron not only directed this, wrote the script, but even played the lead role. Additionally, the plot is enriched by a serious side story somewhere in the Middle East, which is visually incredibly powerful and accentuates his personal story. As I say, for me a huge surprise and finally something from Netflix that deserves five stars. (10.06.2020)
