Very good, motivating, powerful, and most importantly I can't remember a good sports movie from basketball in a long time. Ben Affleck does a great acting job and especially on the court he is awe inspiring. A compelling story, troubles with alcohol, basketball, a sympathetic team of players and an unexpected denouement. Gavin O'Connor just doesn't make bad movies. Story****, Action>No, Humor>No, Violence>No, Entertainment****, Music****, Visual****, Atmosphere****, Suspense***. 7.5/10.

A watchable, yet not very distinctive basketball drama that doesn't stand out in the genre and follows the familiar template, but for basketball fans and Ben Affleck fans I guess it's a good choice. Those who skip it probably won't miss anything though.
