Juonikuvaukset(1)

Blumhouse Productionsin ja legendaarisen käsikirjoittajan David Koeppin psykologisessa trillerissä Kevin Bacon ja Amanda Seyfried esittävät pariskuntaa, joka aikoo viettää rauhallisen loman syrjäisessä asunnossa maaseudulla. Täydellinen piilopaikka muuttuu kuitenkin kauheaksi painajaiseksi, kun todellisuus alkaa paljastua, pimeät menneisyyden tapahtumat nousevat pintaan ja talon paha voima ei suostu jättämään heitä rauhaan. englanti A decent psychological thriller with the traditionally good Kevin Bacon and the beautiful Amanda Seyfried. The film moves at a very slow pace and nothing much interesting happens apart from the final act, something I don't like. It should and could have been scarier and more atmospheric, the film rather just leans on horror. At least the craftsmanship is good, the dream sequences are decent and the denouement is quite interesting. An easily forgettable film that I probably won't remember in a week. Story***, Action>No, Humor>No, Violence>No, Entertainment***, Music***, Visuals***, Atmosphere***, Suspense***. 5.5. ()

englanti After Stir of Echoes, David Koepp and Kevin Bacon are back on the field of horror, however with a somewhat less brilliant collaboration this time. The first half of the movie works very well, the characters are introduced in a subtle manner, the actors perform well and the interaction between the main character and the strange phenomena in the house, as well as with the people who come his way, is quite entertaining. The technical side is also satisfying, but the scenario starts to jolt strongly in the second half, leading to a classic flat ending that won’t surprise anyone. The level is held above average thanks to Kevin Bacon, to whom David Koepp should have provided more substantial material to work with. ()

englanti That was a significant fail. I wouldn't have expected such a dull final product from Blumhouse Productions and with such a star-studded cast. It has absolutely nothing to offer. And it was directed by David Koepp, who has definitely made better films in his career. The entire movie feels cheap and superficial, trying to appeal to the audience only through various screeching sounds and cheap scares. Sorry, but that doesn’t impress me. As I mentioned, the names look impressive on paper, but in the end, the actors have almost nothing to do. The most pleasantly surprising performance was by the little girl; she played her role brilliantly for her age. Otherwise, it’s weak. There was more potential in the story; I saw huge possibilities, but the final plot twist, which was supposed to blow you away and make you say "wow," was more laughable (or perhaps made you want to cry). An hour and a half of lost time. I give it 31%. ()
