On the Air

After Twin Peaks, Lynch and Frost went on to the series On the Air, of which only three episodes aired, despite a total of eight being filmed. It was another unsuccessful project that led Lynch to decide not to collaborate much further with television networks. The exception was Mulholland Drive, which was eventually reworked into a feature film despite originally being planned as a television series pilot. It was originally 88 minutes long. On the Air is a series that occasionally presents absurd humor, sometimes slapstick, and at times, a mindless farce. This is something that couldn't resonate widely during its original airing and not even twenty years later. (20.03.2014)
