englanti A film with an immensely interesting visual aspect that definitely deserves attention, simply because it's a rather satirical comedy that even at that time managed to show the cunning of some people, as well as the gullibility and tedium of others. The man played by Erich von Stroheim exploits a bored woman to win her heart. Despite being a schemer, the character, thanks to von Stroheim himself, stands out above the others. The colorized version has its own special charm and clearly showcases a film that is worth paying attention to. That doesn't change the fact that I'll never be a big fan of silent films and I have to force myself to watch them. The acting performances here aren't always overly exaggerated, although Stroheim himself is a strong, iconic caricature. But that's what makes him stand out in the film. However, Stroheim doesn't just excel in the ironic parts of the film; surprisingly, he also impresses in the action sequences. ()
