englanti This sequel to Cronenberg’s The Fly, directed by the creator of its special effects, has nothing in common with the original’s intimate psychological vision. It has a banal, empty subject, no atmosphere, a few high-quality make-up effects and a more action-packed ending so you have the feeling that at least something happened in those 105 minutes. ()

englanti For over an hour, it just buzzes flatly, and all the glue from the three-year-old actual flytrap is long dried up. Daphne Zuniga treats her character in a fly style, and the clichés are more irritating than troublesome insects. Chris Walas, especially towards the end when skulls are etched and burst, showcases his skills in makeup artistry, but in the directing, there are issues with his work. A swarm of issues. Cronenberg’s position as their Master remains completely untouched. ()
